That’s right,
Twitter started almost five years ago, and now it’s the most popular microblogging service in the
world. As for its humble beginnings, it took Twitter three years, two months and a day to achieve 1 billion tweets. Now, with increased popularity, one billion of tweets are sent each week, which definitely demonstrates what a huge success its been. Speaking of numbers, Twitter got about 460,000 new accounts per day only in the past month and has been averaging about 140 million tweets per day. As for people behind Twitter, Twitter has 400 employees and 50 of them were hired since January.
As you can see, Twitter has achieved amazing success for the past five years, and we can only wonder where Twitter will be in another five years.
