A deal aimed at ending divisions between Palestinian factions have been signed in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

In the Gaza Strip, memories are fresh of how a dispute between Fatah and Hamas pitted Palestinians against Palestinians in 2007, after a national unity government collapsed.

More than 100 people were killed in brutal street fighting.

Al Jazeera's Nicole Johnston reports from Gaza City, where residents welcome the unity deal.
