Suicide Blast Kills 8 in Somali Capital

Police in Somalia say a suicide car bomber has struck near a police station in the capital, Mogadishu, killing at least eight people.
Authorities said the car exploded Monday after speeding toward the station.
Somalia's Interior Ministry said the dead include two children, and that 35 people were wounded in the blast.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Mogadishu endures almost daily battles between Islamist insurgents and government forces, who are backed by African Union peacekeepers.
Thousands of people have been killed or wounded in fighting over the last few years.
Somalia has experienced 20 years of war and chaos since the overthrow of dictator Mohamed Siad Barre in 1991.
