Saif al-Islam Gaddafi - Talk to Al Jazeera - Al Jazeera English

Saif al-Islam Gaddafi - Talk to Al Jazeera - Al Jazeera English

Libya's crisis has seen the emergence of a host of new and distinct voices in the country. Voices from the East, voices on the internet and, in the capital Tripoli, the emergence of a new Gaddafi voice - that of his second-eldest son, Saif al-Islam Gaddafi.

Educated partly at the London School of Economics (LSE), he has long been seen as a potentially reformist figure in his father's 42-year regime.

He has accused the international media, including Al Jazeera, of blowing the crisis out of proportion. In an interview with Al Jazeera's Anita McNaught, he repeats that allegation and claims that the West is trying to take over the country's oil.

This episode of Talk to Jazeera aired from Friday, March 4, 2011.
