Afghan officials say a roadside bomb in eastern Afghanistan has destroyed a vehicle, killing 12 civilians.
Authorities say five children and two women were among the dead in the blast in Paktika province.
Officials say the people were traveling from Pakistan.
In southern Afghanistan, NATO says one of its service members has died in a bomb explosion.
